Thistles ‘n Things provide a “One-Stop-Shop” convenience in a comfortable home environment that no
one else offers. Each child is given a one hour appointment with “one-on-one customer service” by our
knowledgeable staff. We are presently recommended at over 40 Archdiocesan schools and parents are
coming from the tri-state area.
Because we work closely with your school, we stock everything your school requires as well as the items
you need for your party afterwards. Many items are exclusively hand-made by us or for our shop only.
Don’t let our home atmosphere fool you – we stock more dresses and suits, in more sizes, than any of the
big department stores. We keep a *dress register for all the schools we serve. We will not duplicate
any dress we sell within your class. Our goal is to make your visit a pleasant one and have your child feel
very special!!
We have the same convenience now for your Christening needs. We have a wonderful selection -
in stock - for little boys and girls. Our department is complete with changing table for Mommy’s
convenience and assurance that everything fits. All accessories for your baby are here from shoes and
socks to bibs and blankets.
Our flower girl selection is both in our shop and can be readily ordered to make the bride’s planning
simple. We take all the measurements and can hand make little crowns of silk flowers to match. Tuxedos
and suits are available for the boys.

Crestwood is a small subdivision of Yonkers. You are looking for an
English Tudor style - private house, not a storefront. Walk through the
driveway. The entrance is on the left side of the house. Parking is
permitted across the street (sidewalk side) of Scarsdale Road and on
Treadwell Place.
Traveling on the Bronx River Parkway: Take Exit #4 marked “Scarsdale
Road, Yonkers”. If you are traveling north – it is a left hand turn and
traveling south it is a right hand turn. After exiting turn right at the stop
sign. As the road forks, bear left at second stop sign onto Scarsdale
Road. Drive one block to a 3rd stop sign on Treadwell Place. We are
the English Tudor style house #221 at that corner. You may park on the
sidewalk side of the street – not in front of my house.
Traveling on the Sprain Parkway: get off at Jackson Avenue and travel
East towards Central Avenue. Make a right onto Central Avenue and
stay in right lane to Exit at Crisfield Street (near Nathan’s Restaurant)
and continue on Crisfield to Scarsdale Road where you will turn right.
We are the English Tudor style house #221 at the corner of Scarsdale
Road and Treadwell Place. . You may park on the sidewalk side of
Scarsdale Road – not in front of my house. You may also park on
Treadwell Place.
Traveling on the Hutch, get onto Cross County Parkway West to the
